What Hub gives that Basic and Pro don't
| Area | Basic / individual Pro | Planr Hub |
|---|---|---|
| Multiple coaches in the same club with roles | No | Yes |
| Club's shared library of drills and sessions | No | Yes |
| Venue plan and training times | No | Yes |
| Team management (create many teams, automatic team names) | No | Yes |
| AI Session Planner | Trial quota on Basic, separate add-on on Pro | Included with monthly quota per user (where the agreement covers AI) |
| Limits on number of sessions, custom drills and shares | Apply on Basic | Pro level per user, plus the club features above |
Planr Pro + AI doesn't give club features on its own. If you want both AI and club functions, that's Hub.
Get started as a club administrator
When you open Admin as a club administrator, Get started shows up as a full-screen overview with progress and shortcuts to the right place in Planr.
The core steps Planr recommends first:
- Create teams on the teams page. You can add one team at a time or use "Create multiple teams at once". Auto-generating training times requires that teams already exist.
- Invite coaches by email and connect them to the right teams.
- Create venues (arena and courts you use).
- Plan training times in the weekly overview. Choose a season and set which one is public (see Training times and venue plan). Auto-generate is a good first draft you adjust afterwards.
Optional items on the list also include shortcuts to the club library and monthly themes on the teams. Use them when it suits you.
The Get started view can be hidden temporarily from the profile menu ("Show get started") and disappears on its own once the core steps are done.
Roles in the club
Club administrator
Has an overview of the club's profile, enabled features, team structure and who has been invited. Adds the logo and contact info internally, and coordinates purchase and renewal of Hub.
Club coach
Sees the teams they're assigned to and can use the club's shared library where content has been shared. Cannot necessarily change all club settings.
Restricted view or assistant
Exists in some setups where you want to separate planners from assistants.
The club administrator role is also a good fit for a sporting director, head coach or technical lead, because it gives insight into the club library, team calendars, monthly themes and the venue plan across teams. See Sporting director – insight across teams.
If you're unsure what you're allowed to do, open settings or ask the administrator before you delete shared content.
Invite and remove coaches
The administrator sends an email invitation. The coach creates or connects an account and accepts the connection to the club.
- Agree in advance which email the coach should use (private vs work), so you don't end up with two accounts per person.
- On a coach change: remove or move the old connection and invite the new coach with the right teams.
When you remove a coach from the club, the Planr account isn't deleted. It's set to Planr Basic with Basic's limits. The person keeps their own content within those limits and can upgrade to Pro themselves. See Account, password and sign-in and Subscriptions, pricing and payment.
Teams and automatic team names
Teams are created with gender, year of birth and the naming convention the club has chosen. Planr can build the display name automatically from this, so you don't have to type "Girls 14" manually with variations between coaches.
Age numbers in automatic names follow the season and time of year (handball season August–July). The same team can therefore be shown with a new number from season to season without you rewriting the name by hand. See Training times and venue plan.
If you need many teams before the season, use "Create multiple teams at once": choose the age range and gender, and Planr makes suggestions and skips teams that already exist. Details in Auto-generate training times and teams.
The sort order of teams in lists follows the club's standard (gender and age) as the product describes it.
The club library
Drills and sessions marked as shared with the club become available to the coaches who should use them.
- Benefits: one updated version of the warm-up package, shared season planning, less mess.
- Responsibility: agree on write and delete permissions so no one accidentally removes a template everyone uses.
Other club features
Training times and venue plan
Overview of arenas, courts and weekly times. You manage seasons in administration (one public season at a time). See Training times and venue plan.
Broadcast and announcements
Can be used to send messages to defined groups in the club where the feature is enabled.
Other club features may follow the agreement you have with Planr. Venue plan and training times are standard for all clubs on Hub.
License and limits
Hub does not have a fixed cap on the number of coaches – as long as the use is within reasonable limits and isn't being abused, you can invite the coaches the club needs.
Privacy
The club's administrator should have routines for who has access to personal data in invitations and notifications, and for removing access when someone leaves. See Privacy and what is shared.
Internal troubleshooting before you contact Planr
- "I can't see the team": the administrator needs to add you to the right team.
- "I can't see the club drill": it isn't shared, or you're in the wrong club context.
- "I can't see the venue plan" as a coach: check that you've been invited to the club, added to the right team and that your role should have access.
